The Fortune Commercial Plaza is a mixed-use commercial and residential development in the city of Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi Province. The client required a design that could become an iconic landmark for the rapidly developing capital and commercial center. The curved forms of the six-story podium and twenty-five story residential tower were a departure from the existing surrounding architecture. The glass and metal materials convey an open, inviting feeling at the retail levels and allow residents of the residential tower wider views of the surrounding city.
